Marcia has lived in Montana, Arizona, Wyoming, as well as Idaho. The love of the Western landscape found expression as the favorite subject for her art; she never tires of drawing and painting the glory of prairies and mountains. As a youth of age 8, her father taught her photography. Later she earned a liberal arts degree at Casper College, Wyoming, followed by summer art courses at Montana State University.
Marcia Cox recently won "Best Oil Painting" at the annual Wind River National Juried Show in Dubois, Wyoming.
