RIVER ROCKS PLEIN AIR EVENT CANCELLED!
Unfortunately, the River Rocks Plein Air event has been cancelled by the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho. If there is an alternate plein air gathering in Idaho we will let you know when we hear about it.

Quoting from Robert Henri’s The Art Spirit,

“...the art student is not an isolated force.  He belongs to a great brotherhood and bears a great kinship to his kind.  He benefits by taking and he benefits by giving.” 

So, a brotherhood of artists of the “Snake River Plains” is linked, not by a river, but by kinship. Working together in loosely structured gatherings, using all mediums, they attempt to keep the ego out of the product. These artists meander between groups benefiting by interchange and a willingness to prove or fail a work in front of one another, knowing, if I do better, you will do better, and if we do better, then art will do better.

As the Snake River runs through mountains, cliffs, and lava fields, down to rolling farmlands before joining other waters working to the sea...we paint it all.
